This is a true story about a wealthy businessman in Hong Kong. He was very rich and invited a Feng Shui master to assess his home. On their way there, the master witnessed three actions of the businessman.
First, while driving, the businessman saw a group of poor children sitting by the side of the road. He stopped the car, crossed the street, and gave them some money. The Feng Shui master asked why he didn’t stop immediately, as it might have been dangerous. The businessman replied, “If I stop in the middle of the road, it could cause an accident, but I must help these children.” He then continued driving and encountered another car backing out without looking. He stopped to let it pass, and the Feng Shui master was curious why. The businessman answered, “They must be in a hurry, but I am not in a rush.“
A little later, when he saw a child crossing the street, he stopped again to ensure the child safely made it across before continuing. The Feng Shui master realized that through these three actions, the businessman not only cared for safety but also showed compassion and a willingness to help others.
Finally, the Feng Shui master told the businessman, “Your home already has good Feng Shui.” The businessman lived with compassion, love, and care for others, which is the true Feng Shui—no need for rituals or fortune-telling.
